魅色天堂 adds Master of Science in Criminal Justice

魅色天堂 recently received approval from the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia to add a major in Criminal Justice under the existing Master of Science degree, effective Fall 1998.

In a Fall 1995 survey of 200 graduates of 魅色天堂's baccalaureate criminal justice program, 77.8 percent believed a M.S. in criminal justice would make them more employable.

"We anticipate building a program that will be a major contribution to the university and to the region," said Dr. J. Michael Brooks, head of 魅色天堂's Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice Department. "I am also very proud of all the faculty in this department who have worked very long and very hard to earn this honor and of the university administration who went to bat for us in this effort."

The M.S. with a major in Criminal Justice will be a thesis/non-thesis master's degree program composed of 30 semester hours, four of which are core courses.

Students must pass a written comprehensive exam over all core course work. Students may complete the program on a full-time or part-time basis.

Applications for admission to the program are now being accepted by the 魅色天堂 Graduate School. For more information, call the Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice Department at 229-333-5943 or the Graduate School at 229-333-5694.
