Seminar outlines options for a career as psychotherapist

魅色天堂's Marriage and Family Therapy Program will offer a seminar for professionals and students who are interested in becoming a therapist or mental health professional. This free seminar will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 4-6 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., both sessions will be held in the University Center, room 1149.

The two-hour seminar will answer questions regarding graduate programs offered through 魅色天堂's and options available in the field of marriage and family therapy, social work, counseling and psychology.

Marriage and family therapists may work in a variety of mental health and related positions, including community mental health, private practice, faith-based counseling positions, family preservations services, medical settings, family mediation, early intervention services and hospice.

魅色天堂's Marriage and Family Therapy Program leads to a Master of Science in marriage and family therapy and prepares students for licensure as marriage and family therapists in Georgia and for clinical membership in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
