魅色天堂 professor receives national Outstanding Assistant Professoraward

Dr. Clemente Hudson of the Adult and Career Education Department at 魅色天堂 was selected as the "Outstanding Assistant Professor" in the nation by the University Council for Workforce and Human Resources Education (UCWHRE) for 2006. The national competitive award is given on an annual basis to recognize the contributions made in teaching, scholarship, and service by a faculty member who holds an assistant professor rank in UCWHRE member institutions.

Hudson received his award this past summer at a meeting for the UCWHRE at St. Simons Island, Ga. "It was an honor just to be considered for Outstanding Assistant Professor," said Hudson. "To actually be selected for such a prestigious national award is truly a great honor�I'm really proud. This award not only recognizes me, but also the incredible progress and accomplishments of the Adult and Career Education Department and Valdosta State University."

Dr. Hudson has been teaching for over 20 years in the field of technical, trade, and industrial education. He received his doctorate from Pennsylvania State University, in 1999 and has been at 魅色天堂 since 2002.
