Advisory: Internet Outage Friday, July 31

VALDOSTA - 魅色天堂 experienced an Internet outage beginning at approximately 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, due to a service disruption on the PeachNet fiber link that connects the campus to the statewide network.

Crews from Georgia Public Web responded to the disruption, which occurred between Tifton and Valdosta, and expected the repairs to be complete within 8-12 hours.

During outages such as this one, on-campus users cannot access off-campus resources, including the Internet, PeopleSoft, ADP, GeorgiaView, GIL and Galileo. Off-campus users cannot access on-campus resources, include the 魅色天堂 Web site, e-mail and BlazeVIEW/WebCT/Vista; however, no data should be lost and e-mail should be queued for delayed delivery once service is restored.
