魅色天堂 NAACP Wins Two Awards at the Youth Empowerment Summit at Clark Atlanta University

VALDOSTA – Valdosta State University’s NAACP recently won two awards at the Youth Empowerment Summit at Clark Atlanta University, which was held Sept. 21-23.

The first award the 魅色天堂 NAACP received was the 2012 College Chapter of the Year. This award is given to a college unit that meets the state programming guide and goes above and beyond expectations for the Georgia Youth and College Division of NAACP within the past year through hard work and dedication. This is the second year in a row that the 魅色天堂 NAACP has won this award.

The second award was for Juvenile Justice Programming. This award is for a college unit that has the overall best programs for issues related to juvenile justice such as gun laws, pertinent issues such as Travyon Martin and informing students of their rights through forums and events.

"魅色天堂 NAACP is proud to win such prestigious awards,” said Airyagany Hall, 魅色天堂 NAACP president. “It is great to be recognized, but all this hard would not be possible without my executive team who helps me put together all these activities and programs. 魅色天堂 NAACP is truly an organization for students. We take the time to listen to what they need and try our best to provide that."

The 魅色天堂 NAACP is an organization that focuses on various educational, financial, social and political issues. They currently have almost 100 members on campus and work hard to instill a family atmosphere that students can call home on campus.
