My魅色天堂 Streamlines User Experience with Single Sign-On Feature

VALDOSTA -  This week 魅色天堂 will launch an enhanced version of the My魅色天堂 portal, which will streamline access to online resources by introducing a single sign-on feature.

"The My魅色天堂 portal is significant to campus because it will help facilitate increased communication between the faculty and staff of the university and the students," said Gary Kuhlmann, web services supervisor. "It will provide the faculty, staff and students with one location to gain access to the various online portals and resources that the university offers."

My魅色天堂 currently houses a number of portals, including those for faculty, students and events. With the launch of the updated My魅色天堂 this week, users can sign on once and immediately be connected to these tier services as well as resources they access regularly such as BlazeVIEW D2L, Banner, and email. My魅色天堂 will also include static ads, event ads, general academic announcements, campus alerts and critical academic notes as needed.

"We have plans to greatly expand more in the future," said Kuhlmann. "Along with this we have plans to make the portal more customizable and informative with specialized areas for news feeds, social media feeds, etc. We are continuously polling students, faculty and staff for more ideas for future enhancements."

This project was collaboration between several members of Web Services and Information Technology. Team members for the project include Kuhlmann; Nicholas Clinite, programmer analyst associate; Amelia Reams, programmer analyst associate; Kiesha Roberts, data warehouse information analyst; Sheila Hall, instructional technology specialist; Ashley Williams, systems services assistant; Jeremy Mohrfeld, IT web services member; Bobby Lacey, web designer; and Keith Warburg, social media and web content manager.
