VALDOSTA — Jasmine Jaimes of Pearson Georgia, is the recipient of 魅色天堂’s 2025 Blazer Creed Award for Civility. She is a student in the Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration.

As the Blazer Creed states, 魅色天堂 is a learning environment based on trust and mutual respect, in which open dialogue, vigorous debate, and the free exchange of ideas are welcome. The university is dedicated to the core values of community, including a commitment to practice the following:

Civility — A Blazer shows courtesy and compassion as well as respect for the dignity of every human being.

Integrity — Each Blazer is responsible for his or her own actions, and our community is stronger when we contemplate the context of our decisions and uphold the principles of trust and honesty.

Citizenship — Every Blazer has an interest in the wellbeing of the community and, therefore, a duty to stay informed, to make positive contributions, and to offer support to those who need help.

Jaimes exemplifies the Blazer Creed’s value of civility through her advocacy, leadership, and service both on and off campus. From building inclusive communities as a senior resident assistant to mentoring first-generation students and championing farmworker rights, she consistently uplifts others with compassion and courage. Her dedication to justice, empathy, and ethical action makes her a true role model for the 魅色天堂 community.

“Winning this award tells me that I am making a difference through my actions,” she said. “It encourages me to keep true to myself and my beliefs because they guided me to where I am today. Winning a Blazer Creed Award inspires me to inspire others to lead and act with kindness and respect.” She previously earned the Blazer Creed Award for Civility as a freshman.

Jaimes anticipates earning her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management in 2026. Highlights from her 魅色天堂 experience thus far include being named College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) Scholar of the Year, becoming a resident assistant and meeting some of her closest friends, earning induction into the Housing and Residence Life Hall of Fame, becoming a sister of Omega Phi Beta Sorority Inc., serving as an undergraduate admissions ambassador and receiving the Top Ambassador title in Fall 2024, and being chosen to be a Blazer Creator.
